Where Bode, Quixabinha and Americano beaches are

All three are on the Mar de Dentro, between Praia do Boldró and Cacimba do Padre. They form a string of almost deserted beaches, with shallow pools.

They are APA areas, so they don't require the National Park ticket.

How to get there and walk between them

Access is along the sand, starting at Cacimba or Boldró. At low tide you can link the beaches in a long walk.

It's the low tide that connects one beach to the next, so plan the outing around the day's tide table.

To reach the starting point, use a car, buggy or taxi. A taxi costs R$ 28 to R$ 60 per trip.

Sunset at Bode

Bode has the quietest sunset on the island, with a deserted-beach feel and far fewer people than Forte do Boldró.

A band of clouds often hides the sun on the horizon. The best color usually comes 10 to 15 minutes after it disappears.

Surfing the Laje do Bode

During swell season, from November to March, Praia do Bode has one of the most respected waves on the island: a hollow right-hander over a rock and sand bottom that usually works best on a higher tide.

It is a break for advanced surfers only. On those days, save the shallow pools and the beach walk for low tide and calm seas. More details in the Noronha surf guide.

Who it's for and what to bring

It's worth it if you have 5 days or more and enjoy peace and quiet. On short trips, prioritize places like Baía do Sancho.

There are no facilities and little shade. Bring water, snacks, a light beach umbrella and a snorkel mask for the shallow pools.

It's possible with a baby, but plan everything yourself and avoid the sun between 10am and 3pm.
