Flights to Noronha airport

The only way to reach Noronha is by plane. Fernando de Noronha Airport receives direct flights from Recife, about 1h10 of flying, and from São Paulo (Guarulhos). In April 2026, 34 flights a week were authorized: 18 by Azul, 11 by Gol and 5 by LATAM.

The schedule changes with the season: check it when you book. From other cities, you connect in Recife or São Paulo. In 2025 the island exceeded its annual visitor limit, so book early. More in how to get there.

Arrival: step by step

1. Clock: the island is 1 hour ahead of Brasília. Check that your phone has adjusted.
2. Luggage: a single carousel. On days with several flights, the wait can exceed 20 minutes.
3. TPA: show the receipt on your phone or printed. Haven't paid? Go to the counter and pay there, with a queue.
4. Park: the ticket is not checked at the airport. Keep the QR Code saved.
5. Transport: pousada transfer, taxi with a fixed fare per route, from R$ 28 to R$ 60, or a car delivered at the airport. There is no Uber.
6. Pousada: check-in is usually from 2pm. Drop off your bags and go have lunch, because many kitchens close at 3pm.
7. Internet: TIM has 5G in the villages; Vivo and Claro have 4G. Connect to the pousada's Wi-Fi.
8. Grocery store: water in large jugs and snacks. The grocery stores are in Vila do Trinta and nearby.

Foreigners

The TPA with a credit card issued abroad can only be paid at the airport counter. The Park ticket for foreigners costs R$ 384. See everything in fees.

There is an ATM at the airport, but it doesn't always work. Bring some cash.

Departure: the day you leave

Flights follow island time. Arrive at the airport 1h30 in advance and arrange transport the day before. Many pousadas offer a transfer, and it is worth negotiating a late checkout.

Went diving? Don't fly within 12 hours after a day of diving, or 18 hours after several days.
