TPA — Environmental Preservation Fee
Charged by the District Administration per day of stay, on a progressive basis: the daily rate falls until the 10th day and rises again after that, to discourage long stays.
Marine National Park ticket (ICMBio)
Price in effect since November 1, 2025. Official Park exemption: children under 12 and Brazilians aged 60 or over, with ID. Valid for 10 consecutive days. The batch currently sold online must be used by 31/10/2026; if you are travelling later, wait for the new ordinance in November. The Park + Forte Noronha package costs R$ 292 for Brazilians and R$ 484 for foreigners.
Other costs that catch people off guard
Life vest mandatory at Sueste and Atalaia (rental at the PIC), gasoline between R$ 8,50 and R$ 9,80 per liter if you rent a buggy, expensive bottled water (bring a reusable bottle; the PICs have refill stations) and Forte Noronha, which charges its own R$ 100 ticket.
Where the ticket is required
They are two different charges, from different bodies: the TPA belongs to the Pernambuco State Government, the ticket to ICMBio. Almost everyone mixes them up.

Questions about the fees
Who pays the TPA?
Every visitor, per day of stay. Residents and their first-degree relatives are exempt. Tour guides report an exemption for children under 5; the official page does not specify this, so confirm when you pay.
Where do I pay the TPA?
Before you fly, on the official website of the Noronha Administration (sin-web.noronha.pe.gov.br/pagar_tpa), by card or boleto, or on arrival at the airport. Paying in advance avoids the line: on days with several flights, it eats up your first hour on the island. Cards issued abroad are only accepted at the airport counter.
What if I stay more or fewer days than I paid for?
Days beyond the paid period are charged double on departure. If you stay fewer days, there is a refund procedure on the Administration website. Flight delayed? Adjust the TPA if you arrive on a different day.
Is the park ticket mandatory?
Not to enter the island, but yes to access the areas of the Marine National Park: Sancho, Baía dos Porcos, Mirante dos Golfinhos, Sueste, Leão, Atalaia and the park trails. The APA beaches, such as Porto, Cachorro, Meio, Conceição, Boldró and Cacimba do Padre, do not require a ticket.
Who is exempt from the park ticket?
Under the Park's official rules, children under 12 (under 5s don't even need a certificate) and Brazilians aged 60 or over, with ID, are exempt. Foreigners aged 60 or over pay. Residents don't pay. Confirm on the Park website when you buy.
How many days is the ticket valid for?
10 consecutive days. If you buy at the Visitor Center, they count from the purchase; if you buy online, you enter your planned travel date. The ticket is not checked at the airport but at the PICs. The batch currently sold online must be used by 31/10/2026 (ICMBio Ordinance No. 4.423/2025), and a new ordinance is usually published in November. Changed your dates? Sort it out at the Visitor Center ticket office or by email at atendimento@parnanoronha.com.br. For stays longer than 10 days, fit the park areas into 10 consecutive days or buy a second ticket.
Where do I buy the park ticket?
Online at tickets.parnanoronha.com.br or at the ICMBio Visitor Center in Boldró. You receive a digital certificate with a QR code by email: save it offline. Buy before you travel and book Atalaia and the trails the same day, because spots run out.
