What there is at the Museu do Tubarão

The Museu do Tubarão is small and to the point: jaws, curiosities about sharks and information about the island's marine life. The visit is quick.

The cost is low. Check the price on the spot, because it may change.

The restaurant and the shark fritter

The museum's restaurant is famous for its shark fritters and shark bobó. The dish is made with sharks caught accidentally by fishing.

The price range is mid-level, between R$ 50 and R$ 120 per person without drinks. It has a view of the Porto. Other options are in where to eat.

How to combine it on the same day

The museum is at the Porto de Santo Antônio, a calm-water beach, great for children and with easy snorkeling at the shipwreck.

  • Morning: snorkeling at the Porto, then the museum and lunch.
  • Before dawn: the little road by the museum leads to Buraco da Raquel, the most famous sunrise on the island.
  • Rain: combine it with Forte Noronha, Tamar and the Vila.

Sharks in Noronha

In the sea, sharks are common and almost always peaceful. Rare incidents have happened, the last one recorded in 2022. Don't feed them, don't chase them and respect closures.
